What Mower is Ideal for a Golf Course Lawn?

By far the most essential part of getting and keeping a neat and attractive golf course lawn is the use of the right mower. The main reason most lawns don’t appear like a golf course is that the owner is cutting the grass with the wrong type of mower. Traditional rotary lawn mowers are unsuitable for cutting golf course lawns. Their blades’ constant chopping motion tears grass rather than cutting it neatly.

The best equipment is a reel mower (also known as a cylinder mower), which cuts grass by trapping it between the reel edge and the bed knife. This method cuts the grass in the same way as scissors cut paper. They’re better for the turf because the grass is not damaged during the mowing procedure. A roller, which neatly lays the grass flat throughout the mowing operation, may also be installed in any reel mower.
